We’ve got your daily encouragement, written by Kelly Barcol. The Faith Workout of the Day is an updated version of the former Athlete Word of the Day.

Bible Reading:

Act 5:42

“And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus.”

Word:

In Acts 5:40,”They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.” FLOGGED!!!!

With fresh wounds across the backs of the apostles—blood clinging to their clothes, dripping onto the ground beneath them—they went right back out to the temple courts to tell anyone and everyone who would listen about Jesus. They understood their calling and their mission! They said, “You can’t stop us.” Throw us in prison and God will release us, beat us and we’ll heal, kill us and we will continue to live.

People want Jesus! I know people want Jesus! I’ve never met a person in my whole life who doesn’t want to be loved… Jesus is LOVE. I’ve never met a person who doesn’t want to be fully accepted… Jesus accepts us just as we are! I’ve never met a person who doesn’t want to go to heaven. Jesus is eternal life.

The message of Jesus will ultimately reach the ends of the earth and accomplish its purpose of bringing God’s love to every last person on this planet. Our mission is to share Jesus with the world. We know that God is unstoppable and as proof in Acts chapter 5, when God’s people are living on mission they are unstoppable too! We know that the spreading of the gospel cannot be stopped. Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah. (Acts 5:42)

Prayer:

God, may I not let anything or anyone stop me from sharing with others that Jesus is Lord! Give me opportunities and help me to see the opportunities you give.

Skillwork:

There is an old saying that if your not part of the solution, your part of the problem. This week become part of the solution of winning the world to Jesus?
