“The glory of the young is their strength…” (Proverbs 20:29)

This year’s Games was an opportunity to continually witness glory. From the strength and performance of the competitors to the joy among spectators – God’s glory was constantly on display. Of course, this was not evident to all, and none of us rightfully recognized God’s glory in every aspect that He is due (Romans 3:23). But, several competitors and spectators vocally praised God.
The Faith Rx’d mission is captured in a verse found in the book of Romans concerning Abraham. When given the promise of his inheritance through a son that did not yet exist, Abraham needed to grow strong in his faith. This was especially true since Abraham’s wife was barren, and they were both pushing 100 years of age! “No unbelief made [Abraham] waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God.” (Romans 4:20)
We were made to display the glory of God (Eph 1:4-6). Certainly, this can be seen in God’s creation, which includes the impressive feats of fitness we witnessed in Carson. But, it is the strength found in our faith that ultimately permits us to display God’s glory. When we believe God is able to do what He has promised we are also confessing our desperate need for Him. And, this is what makes Him look glorious. Are you living for His glory? Do you trust Him with your life?
“Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

Yep!
1. Do you trust God with your future?
I do, but I still struggle. I try to take hold and take control and make things happen. I don’t trust God always and am impatient with waiting for ‘His Time’, but still He seems to always lead as He wants in the end.
2. What promises are difficult for you to believe?
Provision
3. What practical steps could you take to allow God to grow your faith?
Find accountability so when I feel anxious about waiting for guidance someone can slap me in the face and point out that it is in God’s time. Pray more and have more faith that I will be caught when I jump before hitting the ground. Moving forwards in faith instead of sprinting in uncertainty.
…Getting there

Yes, I trust God with my future. But sometimes I wonder what his plan is for me. Often, I refer to Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you’, says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” I know that he has a plan for my life, but often I ask when he will show me my way. But I know that God has his own timing, and I know that I just need to be patient and faithful.

1. I do not trust God with my future. My mind would like to think I do but my actions say anything but. To have faith in God is a supernatural choice to believe and trust in the mysterious. If I can’t trust God when Holy Spirit moves on me to pray for a friend in the now how can I trust Him with my future?
2. All promises are difficult to walk out. I want to walk them out!
3.best practical steps to grow my faith is consistent prayer, reading the word, and doing all sacraficially. How can an athlete grow if he/she does not sacrifice?
