God’s champions have always been big dreamers. They expect to win, but they also expect to fight for the win. This is what separates champions from those who live average lives. Caleb and Joshua separated themselves from those who were content with living without the vision of God.
It wasn’t that they ignored the challenges in front of them. They saw exactly what the other 10 spies observed — strong opponents, big walls and a necessary fight to win. What separated Caleb and Joshua was the way they viewed these challenges. Instead of seeing the challenges as roadblocks, they celebrated their challenges as speed bumps on the road to victory.
The greatest champion to ever live confronted the biggest challenge ever conquered with this same view. While others feared the obstacles set before Jesus, He walked toward the challenge. As He shouted His victory cry those who witnessed knew this must be the champion who would conquer the world.
