This passage is fascinating because it demonstrates the drastic difference between God’s definition of greatness in comparison to ours.
Like the disciples, we often find ourselves arguing over who is the greatest. But Jesus reminds us greatness is not found in elevating ourselves to a position or status to make ourselves known as great.
True greatness is found through using everything you’ve been given to serve others, so God’s Name is honored as great.
