Your testimony is more invaluable than riches, gold, or earthly possessions. It possesses a worth that transcends the confines of mortality, defining your identity as a Christian. Why? Because it embodies the sum of your faith journey, from its inception to the unshakeable trust and belief in God you’ve nurtured.
It resides deep within your soul, an impenetrable shield against the Devil and his evil forces. It’s a radiant beacon that guides others to Jesus. It’s your safeguard, your sword, and a poignant reminder of life’s ultimate purpose, even beyond this earthly existence.
1 Peter 3:15-16 provides a power example of what a testimony is. “ But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.”
When is the last time you shared your testimony with someone who didn’t believe in Christ? How did they react? When is the last time you shared your testimony of His Word with someone Christian because they were in a place of emptiness and needed some reassurance and peace? How did they feel?
Our testimonies hold truly divine power as they relay Christ’s Word to others. And his Word is more powerful than anything in the world. So powerful that when The Devil himself tried to Jesus, he recited Scripture. We should never discount the power of our conviction for The Lord. Our responsibility is to honor this sacred gift that we call a testimony and share it with the world to build His Kingdom.
