A coworker and I had to fly to Indiana to meet up with a client (whom we have never meet in person) to go over a project we have been working on. When we all arrived in Indiana, we immediately went out to dinner to get to know each other a little bit.
During this time at dinner, we shared a little about ourselves and I discovered that our client was originally from Dubai. I didn’t think much of it, until our food came out and I was about to bow my head and pray. Before I bowed my head, there was a tiny voice inside me that told me not to pray because it might offend my client if they are islamic. However, I rebuked that voice and took the risk of offending my client to praise God.
After I said my prayer I looked up to see the client staring at me with a confused look on their face. Then,….they slowly bowed their head and prayed as well. After they finished praying they asked me if I was a Christian, along with other questions. I found out that they too are Christian and we spent a good chunk of that dinner talking about Jesus!

The reason I wanted to tell you this story is because I feel the world wants us to keep our faith private, so we do not to offend anyone. However, Romans 1:16 says “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.” Hopefully, this little story will give strength to others to not be afraid to express their faith throughout this week!
