‘The devil took Jesus to the high peak of a very high mountain and showed him the kingdoms of the world and all their glory.
“I will give it all to you”, he said, “if you kneel down and worship me.”
“Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him, “For the Scriptures say,
‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”
Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.’
Temptations before us can be very strong.
Being tempted is not a sin; giving in to those temptations is, and that takes us away from God.
Yes, we can ask for forgiveness, and in faith it will be given, but better still, ask for strength and turn away from the temptation.
Don’t give in to the devil; give it up to the Lord instead!
The rewards are so much better!
