When God spoke to Jeremiah, he was preparing him to deal with the people of Judah who had turned against God in spite of the numerous warnings given to them.
We may not be facing as big a task as Jeremiah, but we still need to be strong in our faith if we are to fulfill the Great Commission given by Jesus.
Many of us are fortunate to live in a society where we can demonstrate our faith openly without fear of persecution from the authorities. Many other Christians around the world are not so fortunate and need our prayers. And many have turned their backs on Jesus.
Christians too are subject to great temptations to worship social media stars, possessions, money, and other false gods, but in this verse, we can be assured God has equipped us. And if we fight spiritually in faith, then we cannot lose!
