God has called us to new life, and we aim to partner with Him through service projects that inject this new life into the world around us. Bill and Sue Munson are owners of Leaps and Bounds Preschool in North Nashville. Their preschool serves an area of Nashville that is underserved and is for families who struggle to find and afford great daycare. God called them to open their preschool in 2009 in a leased building on the north side of town. The building was substandard and not suitable for the care they wanted to provide. So God lead them to build a new building 2 years ago so they could provide the great daycare they knew was capable for this part of town. Through their efforts and partnerships they have had over the years, they have been able to serve over 350 families. Their new facility will have the capabilities of holding over 100 kids from newborns to 5 year olds.
Our Faith Rx’d team joined the Munsons one weekend to help move the fencing needed around the building. We were also able to fill over 150 milk jugs with potting soil for the plants that will go in their 3000 square foot butterfly garden. There is plenty more to be done and our team is planning and willing to answer the call to help this couple in their new building for the new beginning of Leaps and Bounds Preschool.
