The following letter is from our new Executive Director, Guido Trinidad. Guido accepted the position to join and lead FAITH RXD earlier this month. We are incredibly excited for him to step into this role.

Dear FAITH RXD Community,

Thank you for the warm welcome and love that you all have showered me with. I am thankful to Jim Conzelman and Rick Walton, for their trust in providing me this opportunity to steward a vehicle of God’s love. I am eternally grateful for the vision that was placed in Becky Conzelmen’s heart, has changed my life, and has led me here today.

I love CrossFit, I love people, and I love Jesus.

Opportunities to lead are not things I typically shy away from, and never take for granted. However, to lead an organization making such a meaningful impact in people’s lives at such a crucial time, like this, is a responsibility and honor that I am truly humbled by.

My passion to serve this community stems from my personal life being transformed by the vision and the work of this ministry. I came into the organization as a Guest Camp Coach, invited by Becky Conzelman, with the intention to pour into others. However, I was the one quickly impacted by the love, devotion, and desire the leaders of this organization had to have an intimate relationship with Jesus. It was a powerful conviction in my spirit that said, “This is how you put me first, this is how you live for me, this is how you grow in your faith.”

As a flawed and sinful man who is “on mission” for Christ, I have accepted this position to lead this organization and fully committed to seeing that His purpose for this ministry is fulfilled. Being a believer since the age of 9, I knew there was more than just believing and was hungry to grow; I just needed to be guided, and experience first hand what a Christ-centered life looks like. Over the course of the last 6 years, God’s sanctifying grace has been relentless in changing me from the inside out to truly live for Him. The people within the FAITH RXD community have been instrumental in challenging me, equipping me, and encouraging me to grow in my faith. I am a very different man today, but the Craftsman is still at work, maturing my faith and progressively calling me to step-up and lead others into a relationship with him.

I believe the FAITH RXD platform is a powerful one that can build a bridge between the gym and the church, teaching fitness enthusiasts how to apply physical disciplines to their spiritual lives in order to develop true strength that lasts for all of eternity. Simultaneously, it teaches people of faith how honoring God with their health and their bodies requires more than just physical fitness but also develops spiritual fitness, and vice versa. The thing that excites me about this is the opportunity for people to see how complete God wants us to be. To be truly fit we must train; compete; and live out our fitness physically, mentally, and, most importantly, spiritually.

God has filled my heart with passion for the FAITH RXD community. I have devoted my life to cultivating strong communities that support and celebrate life in a gym and at event settings. Now there is an opportunity to UNITE people for a purpose much greater than physical fitness, to encourage one another to live out the faith.  Like our fitness journey, we are all in different phases or seasons of our faith walk. I believe God’s desire for this ministry is to meet people where they are at, engage them to grow in their belief in Him, equip them to follow His words, and show them with our actions how to love like Jesus does.

I am committed to allowing God to use me to grow this ministry as large, as wide, as deep, and for as long as He desires. To use my spiritual gifts to set the vision and strategy, to leverage technology, to create better resources, to produce media, to host events, to build leaders, and to serve our fitness community. As exciting as all of the initiatives we are planning for are, like Paul the apostle wrote in Philippians 3:8 “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.”

FAITH RXD community, thank you for the encouragement and support, by God’s grace and power that lives in me, I will humbly and boldly lead us into this season of unsurpassed unity and strength for God’s Glory.

In gratitude,
Guido Trinidad
