We’ve got your daily encouragement, written by Jacob Reed. The Faith Workout of the Day is an updated version of the former Athlete Word of the Day.

Bible Reading:

Ephesians 3:20

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…

Word:

We all have hopes and dreams that stir somewhere deep in our spirits. Some of us bring these things before God daily. We pray that somehow He could use His infinite power to bring this thing that rests on our hearts to life. The problem may be that these things are held so deeply in our hearts and imaginations.

We replay over and over again in our minds all the scenarios by which this hope would come to pass. Imagine that same hope, that same dream deeply planted in the heart and imagination of our infinitely powerful, infinitely creative God. Could it be that I just have to let go a little more? Loosen my grip on these hopes and how they should come to pass?

Isaiah 55:9 God reminds us “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” I don’t know about you, but there are times when I feel God challenging me to think, and dream bigger! That He wants more for me than maybe I am even capable of hoping for. His other great challenge is to take that dream and lay it at His feet. Lay it down and trust His infinite power to do more with it then we ever hoped for. This is a “Beyond” Hope.

Prayer:

Lord I take my hopes and dreams and lay them at your feet today. I trust you to quiet my soul, and to do something great.

Skillwork:

Ask the Lord for the wisdom to see where you might need to Hope and Dream bigger.
