We’ve got your daily encouragement, written by Jacob Reed.
Bible Reading:
Psalms 25:15
“My eyes are ever toward the Lord,
for he will pluck my feet out of the net.“
Word:
If you’ve ever been in a dark place in life and came through it…
If you’ve ever defeated an addiction…
If you’ve ever seen a relationship restored, or became a better version of yourself by reaching a goal such as weight loss or a career goal…
you may have a ton of confidence.
Having conquered some of life’s obstacles gives us the confidence that if there is a problem or tough time ahead, that we can overcome, and come out victorious. When you are staring into the eyes of some of the worst life can throw at you, may you remember that you are battling a real enemy. May you also remember, as is pointed out in this verse that the power of victory comes not from looking inward, but from looking upward, to Him, for rescue.
Prayer:
Jesus, I look to you to defeat my enemies, just like you have done before. May my courage come from you!
Skillwork:
Remember the time you didn’t have courage, and God provided it. Release the fear and be filled with confidence in what He will do.
