Word:
It’s interesting. As crossfit athletes, we know power as force times distance divided by time. It is a formula that helps us measure horsepower expressed through extreme effort. But to God, power is not a formula, it is His DNA. It is who He is. It is the manifestation of his divine nature. Power + Love = God. This is the formula for God, and it is immeasurable.
Where I can calculate your power production in the gym, there is no measuring the power He can release into your life. His power breaks through spiritual strongholds like water. It sweeps through the enemy like sand. It birthed the universe and the cosmos. Everything seen and unseen found it’s beginning in Him. But most of all, He breathed His life into us. The breath of the all powerful God is in you and I. The limitless power of God in Jesus Christ is living within His people.
Where do you need God’s love and power to intersect in your life? Realize today they already do. You have access to it all. There is no stronghold in your life that can stand against the power of God in Jesus that the scripture says, lives now in you and me. His divine nature is within us.
Prayer:
Today, Jesus, may our power not be in what we can produce, but what you can produce in us. Break the strongholds in my life and erect new ones built in your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Skillwork:
Today, name the stronghold you need broken in your life. Speak the name of Jesus over it. That power is within you in Jesus. It’s at His name that every knee shall bow in heaven and earth and under the earth. It’s all subject to Him.
