We’ve got your daily encouragement, written by Lindsey Strickler.

Bible Reading:

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”

Romans 1:20

Word:

This past weekend I was in Colorado for one of my best friend’s birthdays. One day we went hiking in the mountains. We were surrounded by these massive, majestic rock formations; while also being surrounded by her three kids, all under the age of five.

I looked at the nature around me; I looked in wonder at these kids with their own personalities who were moving, running, and talking; and I couldn’t help thinking about how mind blowing creation and people are. The intricacies of how we are made, and the uniqueness we all carry- how could it all possibly be a fluke accident?

How can you look around and not wonder if there’s something bigger than you who’s at work in the world. It would take someone so creative and powerful to make it all possible. Seriously, if not God, how would it all even be possible?!

God might be invisible, but as the verses says, he’s so visibly on display around us. The very fact that we’re here and alive point to it.

Prayer:

God, you’re incredible. It blows my mind the amount of creativity it would take to make this world possible. Seriously, how? I can’t wait to talk to you one day about it all. Thank you for making me. Thank you for making the world around me!

Skillwork:

Just go outside and look around. Think about what it takes every moment, of every day, for each thing to be growing and living around you. Allow yourself to be present for a time in the world that God made and that we get to see and be apart of. Even the workout you’re about to do. God made your body capable of doing the work. How amazing is that?!
