Bible Reading:

Lamentations‬ ‭3:22-23

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
    his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

Word:

Look at the story of the Bible. God’s very nature and His history is always that of redemption. From our fall in the Garden of Eden to the death and resurrection of Jesus we see His faithfulness to make things right even in the middle of a mess.

The definition of “redeem” is: to gain or regain possession of something, or to carry out a pledge or promise.

Next time you have a day or a season that is going wrong say this 3-word prayer: “Redeem this day” and see His faithfulness at work as He fulfills His promises.

Prayer:

God, you are faithful. Please redeem this day and these circumstances and make it right as only you can.

Skillwork:

Think of one example of God’s redemption in the Bible, and one example in your life. And don’t forget, if He has done it before, He will do it again.
