“For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
Obedience and service go hand in hand. The life of John the Baptist was an example of obedience and service in all things of God. Jesus’ life on earth was an example of obedience and service in all things of God. They both followed the requirements of God, as recorded in Scripture, even when this meant ridicule, persecution and death.
What does it look like and feel like to get out of your comfort zone, to obey and serve God?
We know the rewards – everlasting life! What’s stopping us from becoming more like Jesus?
